iHunt EV launches a 1.44 MW ultra-fast charging hub in Bucharest’s Berceni Wholesale Market

Bucharest, March 20 – iHunt EV, the electric vehicle charging network developed by iHunt Technology, announces the launch of a 1.44 MW ultra-fast charging hub in Bucharest, located in the Berceni Wholesale Market, one of the most important commercial and logistics areas in the southern part of the city.

The new hub has a total installed capacity of 1.44 MW and is designed to serve multiple electric vehicles simultaneously, reducing waiting times and enabling fast charging in high-traffic areas. With this launch, iHunt EV reaches two high-power hubs of over 1 MW in Bucharest, following the deployment of its 1.2 MW hub at FAUR Poarta 3.

The installed stations support ultra-fast charging, delivering up to 600 kW per connector through advanced liquid-cooled cable technology, enabling efficient and safe energy transfer at very high power levels.

The hub can serve up to 8 electric vehicles simultaneously and is optimized for both individual drivers and high-demand commercial use.

Thanks to its high-power configuration, the infrastructure is designed not only for passenger electric vehicles, but also for heavy-duty applications, including electric trucks, buses and commercial fleets.

Located within the Berceni Wholesale Market, the hub provides direct access to a key logistics area, making it a strategic point for transportation and distribution activities.

"The launch of this 1.44 MW hub is not just another step in expanding charging infrastructure, but a practical solution for the way urban transport is evolving. In a location like the Berceni Wholesale Market, it is only natural for an electric truck to leave its trailer for unloading while the tractor unit charges at the station. By the time logistics operations are completed, the vehicle is ready for its next trip.

This type of infrastructure enables the seamless integration of electric mobility into daily commercial operations and contributes directly to reducing pollution in congested urban areas. We believe the future of urban transport is efficient, quiet and emission-free, and high-power charging hubs are a key part of making that future a reality,” said Vlad Hristea, CEO of iHunt.
